Passed away peacefully, at home with her family by her side, on Friday, September 9, 2016 at the age of 79.
Beloved wife of the late Harold Kieswetter (1990).
Loving mother of Brad (Darlene), Guy (Maggie), Kim Ray (Doug), Vicky Petrie (Jim), Paul (Bonnie) and Lisa Benko (Tim).
Marilyn was a proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 grandkittens.
Dear sister of David Maguire (Roxanne), Colleen Head (David) and sister-in-law of Shirley Maguire.
Survived by her cousins Murray Lemanski and Jean Shank (Bud), many brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her granddaughter Elisha, brother Gary Maguire and her cousins Jack Lamont and Delores Schedler.
Marilyn’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00p.m.- 4:00p.m. and 7:00 p.m.-9:00p.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Prayers will be offered at 8:30pm on Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Agnes R.C. Church, 75 Bluevale St. N. Waterloo, on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 10:30a.m. Interment at Parkview Cemetery. A reception will take place in the church hall, following the interment.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Hospice of Waterloo Region or the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Hospice of Waterloo Region, CCAC. A special thanks to Dr. Lorna and our nurse Melanie for the wonderful care given to our Mom.
