Marie Dora Watton 1960 – 2017
When we were little we looked up to her but when we were teens we thought that she didn’t know a thing… As you we grew older we saw how smart she was but now that she’s gone, we will hear stories we never heard before and that is when we will wonder how did ever make it through what she did. Mom was an Angel put here from God who cared and guided so many of us, not only her children but many other kids and people around her. She was a person that we could all feel her love and gentleness which has touched many hearts. She always treated people with love and respect no matter who you were. She has guided her kids the best she would, taught us like no other and to show love and caring to anyone in need. We were lucky that God spared us an Angel for us to call her mom.
She was the common-law wife of Fernand Martin of Escuminac, NB who passed away Sunday, November 5th at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 57. Born in Baie Ste Anne, NB, she was the daughter of the late Alyre and Ida (Martin) Durelle. She is survived by her son Michael Watton and her daughter Cynthia Watton-Chiasson and son-in-law Dwayne Chiasson along with her grandsons, Cody (her boy) and Travis (mon ours) Chiasson. She is also survived by her sisters and her brother-in-laws Alfred and Alida(Durelle) McIntyre and Charlie and Corinne (Durelle) Graham as well as many loved nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her grand-daughter, Brie, brother Lucien Durelle, and her sister Ernestine (Durelle) Manuel.
We all wish we could see you one more time, seeing you walking through the door with your beautiful smile. But we all know that is impossible that we will hear your voice one more time, or to hug and kiss you. We know that you can feel our tears and you don’t want us to cry. Yet our hearts are broken because we can’t understand why someone so special to everyone in so many different ways had to die. A part of our lives is now gone that nothing will ever be able to replace the vacant spot in our hearts. As we hold on to our beautiful memories to hold close to our hearts. We know that you are now with our other loved ones that we miss so dearly and we know that you will be taking care of them in God’s palace.
Visitation was held on Thursday November 9, 2017 at the Baie Sainte-Anne Slumberoom in Baie Sainte-Anne from 2-4 & 7-9 pm and on Friday November 10, 2017 from 2-4 pm. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday November 10, 2017 at 4pm from St Anne Roman Catholic Church Baie Sainte-Anne. As a expression of sympathy a donation may be made to the memorial of one’s choice would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements were under the care of Maher’s Funeral Home Miramichi, NB.
