Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marianne Shivak on April 22, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at age 77. Marianne is lovingly remembered by her husband of 40 years, Ken; three children, Darrell (Cleira), Robbie (Donna), and Melanie (Derrick); and grandchildren, Herbie and Clarissa.
Marianne born in Germany came to Canada as a teenager with her family. She made her mark in the health field as an x-ray technician. When Marianne married the love of her life. She also instantly became a mother to 3 small children whom she lovingly accepted and raised.
She developed a tremendous passion for quilting and became extremely talented. She took her sewing machine with her when she traveled with Ken on business and would setup and sew in hotel rooms.
Special thank you to all health care Doctors who looked after Marianne; Dr. Jennifer Ringrose, Dr. Fillion, Dr. W.G. Campbell, Dr. M. Siddiqui and all the volunteers and workers at the Choice Program.
Reverend Sagayaraj Devadoss will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 28, 2017 at St. Thomas More Church, 210 Haddow Close, Edmonton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Choice Program at Dr. Gerald Zetter Care Centre 9649 -71 Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB, T6E 5J2.
