CARVELL, Margaret (Greta) – Mrs. Margaret (Greta) Scott (née Grant) Carvell on Sunday July 16, 2017 at the St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre in her 99th year. Predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years, Trafford (2001). Loving mother of Linda Maloney (late Dan), Barbara Wahn (Ian) and Gord Carvell (Natasha). Loving Grandma of Kathy Pedersen (Steven), Jeff Wahn (Sharon), Karen Maloney-Younker (Jonathan), Bryan Maloney (Erica) and Michael Maloney. Beloved Grandma Greta of 8 great-grandchildren: Lydia, Ingrid and James Pedersen, Xavy and Jonas Younker, Theadora and Asher Wahn, Coen Maloney. Dear sister of Elva Hanson (late Gerry) and the late Elizabeth Grant. Greta, the daughter of Alexander and Elizabeth Grant was born in Glasgow Scotland on September 7th 1918 but spent most of her life in Cornwall. She was an active member of the St. John’s Presbyterian’s Church since 1950. For many years she volunteered with Meals on Wheels, the Hospital Auxillary, the Women’s Missionary Society, and the Presbyterian’s Women’s Group. Greta appreciated all the caring and dedicated staff at St. Joseph’s CCC and the loving care received by her dear, faithful friend Anna Jamieson. If so desired, contributions in her memory to St. John’s Presbyterian Church, St. Joseph’s CCC or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. The family will receive friends at St. John’s Presbyterian Church (28 Second St. East, Cornwall) at 10 AM on Saturday July 22nd. The Funeral Service will take place at 11 AM.
