Obituary of Lynda Cunningham
Passed away peacefully at Lisaard House on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 surrounded by her family at the age of 69 years.
Survived by her husband Jeff, Lynda was the proud mother of her sons Jarrod (Jilly) Tiffin and Josh (Niky) Tiffin. Grandchildren, Lily, Gabby, Poppy and Zebedee, were a constant source of joy and pride. Lynda will be deeply missed by her sisters Nancy Cowan, Bonnie (Jerry) Gryp and Kathleen Woodcock and in-laws Wendy (Grant) Cunningham, Brad (Vicky) Cunningham, Tom Cunningham, and Terry (Kim) Cunningham. Lynda was predeceased by her parents, Mike and Mary Stewardson, her mother-in-law, June Cunningham and her nephew, Todd Cowan.
After a career in advertising with Leader Publications in Dresden, Ont., and Knechtel Wholesale Grocers in Kitchener, Lynda turned her attention to her family. From chaotic egg hunts to quilting lessons to crafts and card games, she always enjoyed family events with her nieces, nephews and cousins. Lynda also learned new skills and hobbies such as quilting, rug hooking, gardening, and golf. Her creative eye and crafting skills could turn what was old into new works of art. She was a member of the Waterloo Region Newcomers Club and the K-W Rug Hooking Guild, and enjoyed time spent with neighbours and friends.
Lynda’s family would like to thank Drs. Leonard and Hubay, the 6th floor nursing staff and Dr. Donna Ward and staff at Lisaard for their compassionate care of Lynda during her battle with cancer.
Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Lynda’s life at Innerkip Community Centre, 695566 17th Line, Innerkip, Ont., on Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 1 – 4 p.m. Interment will be in Shetland Cemetery beside mom and dad on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 2 p.m.
