Loved from the beginning as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, companion and a friend. Peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday September 22, 2016 at the age of 85 years. Lois Ayres (nee Fisher) of Pembroke, loving daughter to the late Gustav and Emma (nee Nienkirchen) Fisher. Loving and caring wife for 54 years to the late George Ayres. Cherished mother of Robert Ayres (Melissa), BonnieMae Ayres and Paul Ayres (Theresa) all of Pembroke. Loving grandmother to Jill (Charles), Jody (Joe), Jenna, LanaMae (Jeremy), Sara (John), Raychel (Jesse), Philip, Sabrina (Jonathan), Erica (Rob) and 13 great grandchildren. Loving friend and companion to Donald Crozier. Dear sister of Doris Sack (late Walter) and predeceased by sisters Florence Tanner, Edna Yandt, Emma Burger, Mary Fischer, Marge Emmerton and brothers Bert, Norman, Lloyd, Walter, Bob and Ernie Fischer. She was a brave woman who had the incredible ability to get up a thousand and one times, always kept moving forward, and thankful for all and everything she had. Friends are invited to share their memories of Lois with her family during visitation at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 296 Isabella Street, Pembroke on Friday 7 – 9 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 12 noon. A Service to celebrate Lois’ Life and faith will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Wesley Community Church, Renfrew St., Pembroke. Interment Laurentian View Cemetery.
