1946-2016
It is with great sadness that the family of the late
LINDA POWER of Mooring Cove announces her
passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Sunday,
October 16th, 2016, at the age of
70. Leaving to mourn with fond and
loving memories are husband, Jack of 51 years; son, Shane of Medicine
Hat, AB; daughters, Ruth Young of Stephenville, Jackie Power of
Medicine Hat, AB, Tina Denty (Terry) of Medicine Hat, AB and Shelly
Hackett (Jerry) of Wabush, Labrador; sister, Elizabeth Keough (Doug)
of Parson’s Pond; brothers, Richard Blanchard and Melvin
Blanchard of Parson’s Pond; 2
grandchildren: L.J. Young and Jerome Hackett;
1 great-grandson, Kaleb Young; plus a large circle of relatives and
friends. She was predeceased by
parents, Walter & Emily Blanchard; 3 brothers and 5
sisters.
The Power Family will be accepting visitors at
Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Marystown on a date and time to be
announced. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at
Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on a date and time to
be announced. Cremation will follow with
inurnment to take place at a later date, at Sacred Heart Roman
Catholic Cemetery in
Marystown.
In Linda’s
memory donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of
Newfoundland and Labrador or flowers gratefully
accepted.
