Leo A. «Junior» Dowling
1928-2017
Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Wednesday,
April 26, 2017 of Mr. Leo A. «Junior» Dowling of
Charlottetown, age 89 years. Beloved husband of Cecilia F.
«Sis» Dowling (nee Thistle) and dear father of Anne Marie
(Alan) Molyneaux, Denise (Don) Gallant, Leo «Butch»
(Bernadette), Paul (Jeannie), Gerry (Frances), Charlie (Chitosa), Pat
(Michele) and Gene (Isabelle). Loving grandfather of 19 grandchildren
and 16 great grandchildren.Also survived by his sister, Phyllis (Ralph
Sr.) Josey: brothers and sisters-in-law Eugene McNeill, Mary Long, Joe
(Sylvia) Thistle and Mark (Betty) Thistle.
Predeceased by his parents Leo and Esther (nee Doncaster)
Dowling; brothers, Jimmy Dowling and Kelvin Dowling; sisters, Dolores
McNeill and Sheila Thomson.
Resting at Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home
until Monday morning, then transferred to St.
Dunstan’s Basilica for funeral mass at 10 a.m.
Interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery,
Charlottetown.
Visiting hours on Sunday 2 – 4 & 7 – 9
p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made
Canadian Diabetes Association.
Branch # 1 of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a
Veteran’s Tribute Service at the funeral home on Sunday
evening at 6:45 p.m.
