Obituary for Kazimiera Baran
Kazimiera was born in Tarnow, Poland. As a teenager she worked in the labour camps in Germany where she met and married her husband Jozef Baran.
They immigrated to Canada in 1951 and settled in Timmins to raise their family.
She lived passionately for her children, her church, her friendships and cooking.
She loved the beauty of nature, her garden and birds. Her independence, her wit and generosity will be remembered by all her knew her.
Kazimiera was predeceased by her husband Jozef (1985), her son Stanley (2005), her parents and sister in Poland.
She is survived by her loving children Joe (Vera), Wanda Butler (late Larry), Helen Patterson(Terry), Mary-Ann Lauzon (Ron), Edward (Carrie), Zdzislaw (Pauline), Michael (Laura)
and Grandchildren Jamie, William (Marla),Tommy (Jenica), Michael (Celine), Bryan (Leah), Kayla (Dan), Steven, Andrew, John, Nicholas (Carolina) Kimberley, Keltan & Karley.
Her Goddaughter Susan Wdowczyk and great grandchildren.
We would like to thank Dr. Yves Raymond, Debby Kapias and Dr. Eric Paquette for their compassionate care and all the Unit Nurses at the Timmins District Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Sacred Heart Church. Interment will take place at Timmins Memorial Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Lessard-Stephens Reception Centre. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 13 from 7-9 pm at
