Passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Columbia Forest Long Term Care at the age of 89.
Beloved wife of the late Kurt Bohnstingl and Karl Mattern.
Loving mother of Ron Mattern (Toni).
Cherished Omi of Melissa, Karl, Michael (Gill), Dorothy-Jo Reidl (Karl) and great-omi of Mckenzie, Keagan, Mason, Arabella, Michael, Kirsten and Georgia-Ann.
Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her son Karl Michael Mattern.
Katie’s family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
