Obituary of Josephine Shiels (Lochhead)
SHIELS- Josephine (Lochhead) (nee Luke) formerly of Port Colborne passed away at the Gilmore Lodge in Fort Erie on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the age of 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Lochhead (1965) and Harry Shiels (1984), loving mother of Douglas (Bonnie), the late Don (Linda), Coleen (Rick), Joanne (the late Bob Winger), Denis (Marie) and Laurie (Jeff) Beauparlant, dear grandmother of several grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister of Helen (Fred) Lochhead. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Pauline Luke, her brother Edward Luke and her sisters Mary Kopinak and Nellie Westra. She worked for a long time at Caskey’s Drug Store and then the Port Whole Pantry. She was a world traveller and Hawaii being one of her favourite destinations. Special thanks to Dr. Kim Scher and the wonderful staff at Gilmore Lodge from Jo-Jo and family. By her request cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, at a later date. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
