Obituary for Joseph Travis Boudreau
BOUDREAU, Joseph Travis–46, Arichat.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son and brother Travis that occurred April 29, 2017 at home in Arichat, surrounded by his family. Born in Sydney he was the son of Louis Clement and Mary Yvonne Boudreau of Arichat. Travis is survived by his brother, Douglas (Jennie), Arichat; sisters, Cathy Boudreau, Hatchet Lake, Lois Boudreau, Rocky Bay, Della Boutilier (Les),Upper Tantallon, Donna MacLellan (Sandy), Ottawa; Godmother, Ina Samson, Samson’s Cove; nieces, Melissa, Emily, Abby, Katelyn, Cassie, Paige (Goddaughter); nephews, Brian, Julien (Godson), Joel; also many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Kenny; maternal grandparents, Amedee and Cassie Boudreau; paternal grandparents, Cyril and Idella Boudreau. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Assumption Church in Arichat on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 2 pm with Rev. Doug MacDonald officiating. Burial to take place in Star of the Sea Cemetery in Petit de Grat. Reception will be held following the committal in Our Lady of Assumption Parish Hall, Arichat. Memorial donations can be made World Vision of Canada or a charity of your choice. We would like to thank the staff of 5 West, ICU, the Hematology Department, the staff on 6 East, the Palliative Care Team at the Ottawa General Hospital, the Strait Richmond Hospital, St. Anne’s Centre, and Home Care for their exceptional care during Travis’ illness. Special Thanks to Dr. Robert Martell for his excellent care, support, and for going above and beyond by arranging for Travis to end his journey at home with his family, we will be forever grateful.
