TRITES – John, of Gore Bay, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday June 11, 2017 in his 80th year. Beloved partner of Daphne Campbell and cherished father of Dave, Doug (Laura) and Ed (Nicole). Dear grandfather of Morgan, Dillon, Kayla and Tyler. John will be sadly missed by his step children Brian ( Liza) Campbell, Lynn ( Ken) Campbell, Lisa (Steve) Garrett, brothers in law Don Lutes, Charles (Sandy) Burt, Max (Joanne) Burt, sisters in law Wanda Trites, Mary Trites, Marcia (John) Stevers, Debbie (Jim) Hurbid, Laurie (Harold) Simon, his former wife Gladys Trites, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. John worked at Inco for 35 1/2 years, ran John’s Small Motors for 25 years and helped out at « Campbell’s Drive In » for 22 years. He loved hunting, fishing, timbering, gardening, bowling, singing and old country music cooking and having suppers with his family and friends, where his favourite food was lobster and shrimp, followed by his ice cream. John was an avid welder and mechanic. He sure loved his chickens.
