James Jimmy Richard Smith – 2016

James « Jimmy » Richard Smith
James « Jimmy » R. Smith, 57, of Lutes Mountain,
passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, November 11,
2016.
Born in Moncton, he was the son of James « Jim » and
Kathleen « Kay » (Douthwright) Smith of Lutes Mountain. Jimmy
was a Millwright with J. N. Smith Lumber Limited and a member of Lutes
Mountain Church of the Nazarene. He was a great fisherman and loved
fishing on the Miramichi, was an expert woodworker, he enjoyed wood
turning, music and worked with his father at the Old Mill Blue Grass
Festival and he thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and
friends.
In addition to his parents, Jim and Kay, Jimmy will be sadly
missed by his brothers, Kevin Smith (Darlene) of Moncton and Greg
Smith (Barb) of Berry Mills; nieces and nephews, Katie Smith, Nick
Smith, Marissa Lewis (Josh), Jillian Smith and Shelby Smith; four
great nephews and two great nieces; friend, Kelly Smith as well as
several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657
Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and
7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to celebrate and honor Jimmy’s
life will be held from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday,
November 16, 2016 at 11:00 am with Rev. Harold MacDonald officiating.
Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service.
Interment will be held in Birch Hill Cemetery, Berry
Mills.
