Remembering Jack Farnham March 1, 2011 It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jack Farnham (JB) on March 1, 2011 at the age of 71. Jack was from the Rosebud/Rockyford area. Left behind to carry on his legacy are his loving wife and soul mate, Linda, his sons; Alan (Chrissy) of Australia, Trevor (Julie) of Ft. McMurray, AB, Ray (Sue) of Calgary, AB, Brian of Northern Alberta and daughter, Jackie of Carstairs, AB. Grandchildren; Chrystal, Brody, Cody, Josh, Tayla and Brendan and great granddaughter, Riley; sister, Emily (Sandi) of Airdire, AB and brother, Bob (Viny) of Hinton, AB. His favorite sister-in-law and caregiver, Beth (Gerald) Kirby of Rosebud, AB; brothers-in-law, Ken Smith of Rockyford, AB, Jud (Sarah) Welsh of Edmonton, AB and nephews; Scott (Lisa) Kirby of Calgary, AB, Shane (Elizabeth) Kirby of Burnaby, BC. Also left behind are his great nephews, Aidan, Caleb, Javier and Cristobal. Jack was predeceased by his son Robert, parents; Raymond and Bessie and foster parents Wilf and Dorothy Beaton. Jack will be remembered by his hand carved cedar Float Planes that were a huge part of his determination to find a cure for Cancer. Jack and his family were active in the “Relay For Life†with his planes as a major fundraising raffle for the event. A Celebration of Jack’s Life will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011, at the Elim Pentecostal Church, 285 – 1st Street West, Drumheller, AB, at 1:00pm. In honor of Jack’s memory if those attending so wish, the family has requested that you wear your “best denimsâ€.
