Obituary
We are sad to announce that Henry Goertzen of Spruce Grove, Alberta passed away peacefully on March 30, 2017, at the age of 90 years.
Henry will live on in the memories of his loving wife of 63 years, Adaline; his 6 children, Murray (Caroline), Ron (Kim), Darrell (Kim), Brian (Wanda), Brenda, Jim (Renee); his 9 grandchildren, Melissa, Laura (Tyler), Steven (Sam), Megan (Bryce), Kurtis (Tiffany), Ross, Rees, Adam, and Owen; and his 5 great-grandchildren, Isabella, Brooklyn, Jaxson, McKinley, and Hudson. Henry is survived by sisters, Margaret and Katherine, and was predeceased by siblings, John, Jacob, Justine, and Peter.
Henry will always be remembered as a friendly, generous, and kind man who wanted to help people in any way that he could. He lived a good full life and was active until the last two weeks before the Lord took him home.
A heartfelt thanks to all of the staff at the Misericordia Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU-2E) for their loving care.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, April 7, 2017, at Grace Lutheran Church, 9907-114 Street, Edmonton.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Good Samaritan Society, The Rock Lutheran Inner City Society, or The Lutheran Hour.
