Harvey Corporon
1929-2017
RICHIBUCTO, NB – Harvey Corporon, age 87, of
Richibucto passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital,
Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Sunday, May 21, 2017. Born in Wedgeport, NS, he
was a son of the late Bernard Corporon and late Monique (Doucette)
Corporon. Harvey left Wedgeport, Nova
Scotia to go to Toronto where he
met Cecile whom he later married and raised a family with. He found
work at the Canadian National Railway from 1952 to 1984 working his
way up to management. After retiring he enrolled at Ryerson College
where he took a trades course and started his own business in
carpentry. He did a lot of work for the disabled. He enjoyed
woodworking, electronics, learning about space and loved spending time
with his family.
Harvey will be sadly missed by his three sons, Kerry (Cindy)
of Gilford, ON, Kevin (Carol) of Newmarket, ON, Allan (Leslie) of
Alcona, ON; sibling, Sylvester Corporon; three grandchildren, Mark,
Jessica, Evan and two great grandchildren, Kai and
Kaleb.
Besides his parents, Harvey was predeceased by his loving
wife of 63 years Cecile (Daigle) Corporon; four brothers, George,
Arneau, Ferd, Raymond and four sisters, Patronille, Jacqueline,
Catherine and infant Alice.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home
in Richibucto on Friday beginning at noon until time of the
service. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 26,
2017 at 2:00 pm, Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel, Richibucto.
Donations in Harvey’s memory may be made to the
Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimers Society (www.thompsonsfunerahome.com)
