KURICHH, Harbans Lal, affectionately known as “Bansa” at the age of 77, peacefully passed away in the hands of family on November 23rd, 2017. Born in Amritsar, Punjab, he has been living in Canada for the last 47 years. Loving son of the late Shri Kunj Lal Kurichh and late Smt ManhorVati Kurichh. Beloved brother of the late Mankeshwar Lal Kurichh and Late Panna Lal Kurichh. Survived by his brother Roshan Lal Kurichh (Mridu), sister-in-law Veena Kurichh, many nephews, nieces and their spouses as well as grand nephews and nieces. Harbans will be sadly missed by extended family, friends and Ottawa community members, where he was an active business owner for many years. He will be remembered for his passion for culinary creativity which was visible when he opened Aroma restaurant, the first Indian restaurant in Edmonton, Alberta. Visitation and Funeral Services will take place at Heritage Funeral Home at 1250 Trim Road, Orléans, ON K4A 3P7, on Monday November 27th, 2017 from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. May Lord Shiva bless his soul and may he rest in peace.
