VANCE, Gordon Frank – 1952 – 2017 – With immense sorrow, we announce the sudden death of Gordon F. Vance at his home on Sunday, March 5, 2017. The life-time friend of his sister, Sandra “Sally” Prost (Mart) of Williamsburg, dear “UG” of his niece, Jaina of Morrisburg, and uncle of Jason Prost of Spencerville. Gordie is survived by uncles Garfield MacLennan and Douglas Murray, surrogate father, Felix LePage, his extended family, and many friends on the South Branch, as well as those in the school bus and horse racing communities. Predeceased by his parents, Mac and Marjorie Vance, his niece Brigitte Prost, and several spoiled Doberman companions. Visitation at Wilson Funeral Home, on Sunday, March 12th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and on Monday from 9-10:45AM. Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 11AM. If desired, contributions in Gordie’s memory to the Ottawa Heart Institute and the Canadian Cancer society would be appreciated by the family.
