McVey, Gordon (staff inspector Ottawa Police-Ret’d)
On Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the age of 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Mary (Millward) for 62 years. Loving father of Geoffrey (Kelly), Terry (Lauren) and dearly loved grandfather of Christopher, Sarah, Rachael, Bradley, Joshua (Kaitlyn), Seth (Jessica), Faith and Andrew (deceased). Brother of Marion Hope (the late Don) and Barbara Campbell. Brother- in- law of Dorothy Casselman (the late Ivan) and Sheila Millward ( the late Lyle) and late brother-in-law Lloyd. Will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Gordon was a proud member of the Ottawa Police Force and an original member of the Police Pipe Band, a member of the Kemptville Police Services Board and a member of the Prescott Golf Club, a former Warden and member of St. James Anglican Church. A Celebration of Gordon’s Life will be held on Saturday, November 4,2017 at 11 a.m. at St. James Anglican Church 35 Clothier Street West with reception to follow at the Kemptville Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 805 Prescott Street, Kemptville. Interment at St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made to St. James Anglican Church.
