Obituary for Gerald Steven Pears
Gerry Pears passed away peacefully at the age of 75 years on Saturday, February 18, 2017, with his loving wife at his side. Gerry was a thirty-nine year CIBC Banker, a passionate fisherman, and an avid cribbage player. Gerry is predeceased by his father, Ben; sister, Carol; brother-in-law, Frank and sister-in-law Laura. Gerry is survived by his best friend and wife of 55 years, Mae; mom, Betty; son, Eric (Jackie); daughter, Shelley (John), Carmen (Matt); brothers, Peter (Betty,) Ron, Jim (Linda), Mike (Laura), Charlie (Brenda); sisters, Berna (Arleigh), Hazel (Chuck); brother-in-law, John; granddaughters, Ashlyn and Kayla; grandsons, Caleb and Dax; and a large extended family. A Celebration of Life will be held at Riverbend Community Centre (19 Rivervalley Dr SE) on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the GoFundMe page «Gerry Pears Memorial Broda Chair» to provide Southwood Hospice with a new Broda chair.
