Speirs, George Leslie “Les”
With a potato gun and a bottle of rum waiting, Les passed away surrounded by his family on December 6, 2016. The love of Therese Eleana’s life, his little volcano. Les loved the outdoors but word of a party and he would be the prankster at the centre of it! Pre-deceased by his loving parents Gerald and Phyllis. Fond son-in-law to Mary McGriskin. Most entertaining Brother-in-law and Uncle to the McGriskin family; John (Royanne), Joe (Kathy), Pat (Cindy), Rose (Dean), Mary, Will (Karen), Ed (Mary), Mike (Leanne), Monique (Darren) and a herd of nieces and nephews. Cherished Uncle of Geoff (Dawne), Krista (Scott Philp), Jeremy (Meagan), Alex, Matt (Katie), and Dan. Brother to Steve (Cheryl) and Ken (Cathy). Les will be greatly missed by his extended family and gaggle of friends. The service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Mount Horeb United Church, 117 Hillhead Road Reaboro ON. A Celebration of Life party will follow at Omemee Curling Club, 15 James Street North Omemee ON. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at any TD bank to account 3431-6155744 or email transfer to inmemoryofles@gmail.com in trust for a memorial item at the Palliative Care Unit in Les’ memory.
