Obituary for Eva May Murray (nee Marlow)
It is with deep sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Eva May Murray in Calgary on Friday June 16, 2017 at the age of 70 years. Eva was predeceased by parents Nels & Pearl, sister Edith, and partner of 20 years, Gerry. Eva is survived by brothers Bob (Shirley) and Stan (Verna); sons Daniel, Chris (Pamela), and Regan; grandchildren Tyler, Meghan, Christian, Ashley, and Brittany; numerous nieces and nephews; and her little Dolly. Eva began life as a little red-headed farm girl but quickly realized the city was where she wanted to be. Eva made friends easily and was gifted at loving life and having fun. Eva worked many jobs, taking great pride while working with Gerry in the moving industry, but her most rewarding time was at Handi-Bus as an assistant. Eva was the one to pick up the phone and call; she loved her family very much. Some of her interests included: redecorating, reinventing, painting, gardening, cooking, BINGO, casino nights in Vegas/Reno, parties, pets, and socializing. Mom was the life of the party, she smiled more than frowned, laughed more than cried, and was full of joy more than sorrow. She had many adventures in life and was someone people were drawn to. She fought and won many of life’s battles. You were proud to have her in your corner. Eva will be remembered as a great friend, loyal sister, auntie Eva, devoted mother, cool grandmother and a wondrous woman. Open house celebration of Eva’s life will be held at 330 Adams Crescent SE on Saturday, July 1, 2017 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
