It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Doris on June 19, 2015, at Lakeridge Health Whitby, at the age of 88, with her daughter Sandy by her side. Together forever with her husband John (2008). Beloved mother of Sandy Jacula (Ray) and Robert Maiel (Sherry). Sister to Jean Cody, Ruth Starzinski, Sylvia McCullough (Joe), the late Gordon Baker (Doreen), Grace Pallister, and Ken Baker (Hazel). Caring sister-in-law to Marion Taylor and her son Fred. Cherished Nana to Paul Jacula, Mark Jacula (Janice), Laura Auld (Randy), Amanda Oman (Jason), Melissa Maiel, Bobbi Maiel, and Shelby Coulter (Clay). Special Great-Nana to Matthew, Zachary, Bradley, Marcus, Addison, Erin and Emma (Florida). She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her. A special thank you from the family goes out to the staff at Centennial Retirement Residence, Oshawa, for their care and support during her stay, as well as to the Stroke Unit at Lakeridge Health Oshawa and 4 West at Lakeridge Health Whitby.
