Haines, Donald Waldron
Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Hardy Terrace Long Term Care Facility on Friday, December 15, 2017 in his 97th year. Beloved husband of the late Edith. Cherished father of Alan and his wife Elaine and the late Carol Lynn (1963). Loving grandfather of Kevin (Jennifer), Corrine (Warren), Great grandfather of Charlotte, Alexia, Harrison and Sevannah. Survived by brothers Gordon and Norman. Predeceased by his parents and brothers Clayton and William. Donald served his country during World War II and was a longstanding member of the Central Baptist Church. He was the chairman of the Central Baptist Academy, he pride himself in his photography and baking and enjoyed fishing. He will be missed by many family and friends. Friends will be received at BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford, on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Burial will take place at Farringdon Burial Ground. Donations to the Leukemia Society would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Donald in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
