Obituary for Donald Roesner
Donald Joseph Roesner
July 8th 1961 – August 25th 2017
Passed away peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital surrounded by his loved ones.
Don was a loving and faithful husband to the love of his life, Lorna Roesner (Wren), «Little One», for 32 years. Proud Father to his three children, Natalie McCracken (Jacob), Derek Roesner, Kristina Roesner. Grandfather to his «Little Lady» Kenzie McCracken.
Cherished son of Rita and Walter Roesner of Eganville. Dear brother to Nancy Denault, Marilyn Mirault (Robert), and Alan Roesner. Don will also be fondly remembered and missed by the Wren family, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Don will be remembered for his resourcefulness. He was known for his hard work, integrity and strong work ethics. Although sometimes a man of few words, he enjoyed sharing his never ending book of knowledge with those he loved. Being competitive in nature he enjoyed the chance for a good card or board game. He took pride in his academic and athletic accomplishments in school. Don had a deep respect for nature and the outdoors, with hunting and agriculture being some of his favourite passions. A friend, a mentor, a teacher and most of all Don was a man his friends and family could look up to. He can rest in peace knowing his greatest legacy was having raised his children to be strong and self sufficient adults. As well as planning for his family’s future, he ensured that family spent many hours together on our farms making wonderful memories to last us a life time. He will be forever missed and in our hearts.
There will be memorial visitation held at the Zohr Funeral Home, Eganville on Wednesday evening from 7-9pm. On Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 10:30am a Memorial Mass will be held at St. James the Less Catholic Church, Eganville. Inurnment will take place in the parish cemetery.
