1935-2017
WILLIAMS, Donald Howard
–Age 82, Mulgrave, passed away peacefully with his family by
his side on Monday, October 30, 2017, in St. Martha’s
Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Peas Brook,
Guysborough Co., he was a son of the late Stanley Valentine and Edith
Anne (Dort) Williams.
Don was a member of St. Lawrence Parish, Mulgrave and was
also a member of the former Mulgrave Kinsman Club. Don loved playing
cards, hunting and fishing and enjoyed cutting wood. Don had a great
love for old country music and local entertainment. Surviving are his
loving wife of 60 years, Anne (Brophy); daughters, Beverly, North
Grant; Sandra, Antigonish; Lisa, Ottawa; sons, Donald (Linda), Havre
Boucher; Gary (Sonya) and David (Angie), both of Mulgrave; sister,
Frances Jamieson, Havre Boucher; brothers, Ves (Betty), Hadleyville;
Louis, Havre Boucher; grandchildren, Calder, Kandace, Briana, Hailey,
Lane, Brittany, Braeden, Jeremy, Trent, Daelyn; great-grandchild,
Coralie. He was predeceased by his brother, Reginald.
There will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be 11 a.m.
Saturday, November 4, 2017, from St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church,
Mulgrave with Father Allan MacPhie officiating. Burial will follow in
the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Lung
Association of NS, Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Mulgrave
and Area Resting Place. Arrangements are under the care and direction
of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Words of comfort
