BOURQUE, Dianne M. – age 66, Sluice Point, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 2, 2017 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born October 12, 1951 in West Pubnico, she was a daughter of the late Franklin and Thérèse (d’Entremont) d’Eon. Dianne enjoyed working as an LPN at Villa St. Joseph-du-Lac, and more recently at Nakile Home for Special Care until her health prevented her from working any longer. In her spare time she enjoyed volunteering at Nakile Home and with Relay for Life. She was also a member of the Indian Sluice Senior’s Club, the Christmas Club and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Islands and District Volunteer Fire Department. She enjoyed quilting, reading, playing bingo and going out to eat with her friends and she loved playing cards. She is survived by her loving husband, Delmer J. Bourque, as well as by their children, Dawn (Bruce) Doucette and Dean Bourque, as well as by her grandchildren, Ryan and Scarlet, all of Sluice Point. Also surviving are brothers and sisters, Brenda (Leo) LeBlanc, Wedgeport; Delia (John) Chetwynd, Randall d’Eon, Tom d’Eon, Lerman (Suzette) d’Eon and Yvette (Brian) Muise, all of Pubnico, as well as a sister-in-law, Sherry d’Eon, Brooklyn. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Chester d’Eon. Visitation will take place from 7-9 Sunday, with prayers at 8 p.m. at H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert St., Yarmouth. The funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 6 from Holy Family Catholic Church, Amirault’s Hill, Father Maurice LeBlanc officiating. Flowers are welcome.
