With heavy hearts the family announces the sudden passing of David at St Joseph’s Hospital on Saturday November 18 in his 65th year. Husband and best friend of Janet, to whom he was married for 40 years. Cherished father of Darryl (Melanie) and Laura (Tyronne). Beloved and proud Papa of Ashanti, Aaliyah, Arianna and Ewan. Adored son of Thomas (predeceased 2016) and Nettie. Loving and supportive brother of Ian (predeceased 2014), James and Sandra, Scott and Vivian and Robert (predeceased 2017). Loving nephew to Anne and Pete. Sadly missed by his extended family, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dave enjoyed many years of playing and umpiring baseball in a Stoney Creek Slo- pitch league. P.M. of Hillcrest Masonic Lodge #594 AF & AM. Dave lived his life taking care of people in the most generous and kind way. His love for family was like no other. Dave was the quiet leader of our family leaving a huge whole in our hearts. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Visitation at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME- “William J. Markey Chapel”, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton (905-574-0405) on Tuesday November 28th, 2017 from 6 – 8 pm. Masonic service to follow. Memorial service will be held in the Bay Gardens Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday November 29th, 2017 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to Spiritualist Society of Burlington would be appreciated.
