It is with heavy hearts that the family of Corey Allison Dempsey age 73 of Leicester, Cumberland County announce his passing on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS. Born in Berwick, NS he was a son of the late Melbourne and Roberta (Price) Dempsey. Corey as a Heavy Equipment Operator in Port Hawkesbury and carpentry work in the Amherst Area. He enjoyed music festivals, traveling and the company of his family. Corey will be sadly missed by his wife Eleanor (MacEachern), daughters Sherry (Jim) and Misty (Michael) both of West Leicester, two grandchildren Melanie Chapman of Charlottetown and Joshua of West Leicester, sister Sandy (Roger) Gouchie of Amherst, brothers Ronald (Dianne) of Barrie, ON, Dale (Linda) of Amherst and Allan of Warren, one niece and several nephews. Besides his parents, Corey was predeceased by nephew Brandon Dempsey and niece Stacey Dempsey. At Corey’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, Amherst, NS (902-667-9906) Memorial donations in Corey’s memory may be made to the Cumberland Regional Health Care Foundation Palliative Care Unit.
