March 1, 1922 – December 5, 2017
Peacefully, at Extendicare, Cobourg, in his 96th year. Beloved husband for over 75 years to Lyla (nee Calver). Son of the late William and Dora Johnston. Loving Father to David (Lois), Susan Spicer (Dalt), and Kevin (Karen). Proud Grandfather (aka Cliffy) of Lori Johnston, Brandon Johnston (Michelle), Michael Spicer (Lauren), Dana Flay (Andrew), Jazmind, Joel (Jessica), Jarah and Jakob Johnston. Great-Grandpa of Henry, Orion, Hawksley and Benson. Heartfelt thanks to the staff of Landmark Assisted Living/Extendicare, Cobourg for their love and care of this special man, and for relishing in his sense of humour, water pistol fights and his love of cigars. A Celebration of Life will take place in the MacCoubrey Funeral Home Reception Centre, 30 King St. E., Cobourg, Thursday, December 14th at 2 p.m., with visitation from 1 p.m. until service time.
