Obituary of Brenda Lee
LEE, Brenda (Whitworth) – Mom passed away, after a brief illness, with her family at her side, on Wednesday, December 20, 2017. Brenda of Peterborough, formerly of Middleton, Manchester, England in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Eric Lee for fifty years. Dear mother of Susan Lee and the late Sharon Lee. Proud Nana of Colin, Liam and Laura Pammett. Dear sister of Kevin Whitworth (Ann) and sister-in-law of Margaret Clutton (Terry) and the late Audrey Halliwell (late Walter). Aunt of Linda Buckley (Steve), Peter Halliwell (Michelle), Joanne McKiernan (Paul), Jeanette Clutton, Sean Clutton and many other relatives and friends. Brenda arrived in Canada in 1967 and then returned to school to receive credit for her High School education. She worked at Holiday Inn, Peterborough and retired as Head House keeper. An avid Scottish Country Dancer and a volunteer at Trent University, reading books for the blind. An amateur historian, Brenda traced her family ancestry back for many generations. Brenda will be remembered as a feisty, but playful woman, who would wrestle to be in control, right to the end.
Cremation entrusted to Community Alternative Funeral Home. Donations in Brenda’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully acknowledged.
