Obituary On March 31, Robert “Bob” Hamilton of Edmonton passed away at the age of 61 years. Bob is survived by his loving wife Trudy; daughters: Dr. Leslie Hamilton of Calgary and Karen (Cory) Seward of St. Albert; granddaughter Tegan Seward; father William Hamilton; sister Dorothy (Dave) Hilton; brother Garth (Susan) Hamilton; special aunt Vera and uncle Allan Thomas. He was predeceased by his mother Clara. Bob retired in 2006 after a lengthy career in the transportation industry. He continued to keep busy with many volunteer activities and was a member of the Canadian Athletic Club Alumni. Bob enjoyed his past five months at home with family and friends, thanks to support from Ramson Novilla, Dr. Robert L. Turner, Dr. Bruce Ritchie, numerous EMS personnel, and units 5A4 and 5B1 of the University Hospital. If desired, donations to either the Hematology Research Fund at the University of Alberta; 85 Avenue 116 Street Northwest, Edmonton, Alberta T6G 2R3, or the SPCA, 13620 163 Street Northwest, Edmonton, AB T5V 0B2, would be appreciated Bob leaves this life as he lived it with selfless generosity and kindness, surrounded by the people he loved and who loved him. Bob’s generosity, kindness and loyalty to his friends and family was limitless. A Celebration of Bob’s life will be held at Robertson-Wesley United Church, 10209-123 Street, Edmonton, on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.
