Beulah Brown
1932-2017
It is with sadness we announce the
passing of Beulah Barbara Brown, age 85,
of Joggins. Beulah passed away at home on Friday, December
22, 2017.
Born in Athol, she was a daughter of the
late Steward and Janie (Cotton) Dow.
Her family knew her as the best mother,
grandmother and great grandmother anyone could ever have.
She loved people and cared and worried about everyone.
She will be dearly missed by her
children, Steward (Tammy), Calgary, James (Charlene), Amherst, Pam,
Springhill, and Lawrence (Andrea), Lower Cove; nine grandchildren,
Jamie, Lacey, Sunni, Dylan, Hayley, Brandon, Tyler, Jenna and Tyson;
twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren;
brothers, Leslie, Nappan, NS Frank, Amherst, NS, Carman (Barb),
Oshawa, ON and David (Rachael), Amherst; sisters Viola Gilbert, Athol,
NS, and Laura (Donald) Brown, Joggins, NS, her very special dog and
companion Brandy as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased
by her husband Earl «Sonny»; grandson, James Joseph;
grandson in law Cory Palmer; brother Billy; sisters, Bessie Sylvia
(infant), Leona Lowther and Ella McIver; sister in laws Kay Gordon and
Florence Dow.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of Furlong~Jones Funeral Home,
70 Church Street, Amherst (902-667-8777) where a time of visitation
will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The funeral
service will take place at Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, Amherst on
Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 2 pm, William Drysdale, DLM
officiating, with a reception to follow.
Donations in memory of Beulah may be
made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the charity of your
choice.
