Bertha Fontaine
1920-2017
RICHIBUCTO, NB – Bertha Fontaine 97, of Richibucto
passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste-Anne-de-Kent
on Tuesday, November 28, 2017. Born in Guimond Village, she
was the daughter of the late Maxime Mazerolle and late Ruffine
(Guimond) Mazerolle. Bertha attended St. Louis de Gonzague
Roman Catholic Church in Richibucto.
Bertha will be sadly missed by her four daughters, Claudette
(Reg), Elmonde (Gerard), Jeanette (Norman), Marielle; four sons,
Norman (Irene), Bertrand (Gwen), Omer (Lynne), Gary (Martine);
daughter-in-law, Dianne; sister-in-law, Ernestine and many
grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great
grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,
Livain; one son, Yvon; four sisters, Jeanne, Marthe, Melda, Olive and
two brothers, Louis and Armand.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home
in Richibucto on Monday from 9:00 am until departure for the
funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday,
December 4, 2017 at 11:00 am at the St. Louis de Gonzague Roman
Catholic Church in Richibucto. The family wish the express a
sincere thank you to the staff at the Stella Maris Hospital and to Dr.
Ronald Fontaine for their kind and compassionate care of
Bertha. Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s
Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
