Berneda Byers, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital, Hanover on Friday, February 03, 2017, in her 97th year.
She was loving wife of the late Anderson Byers and daughter of the late Mr. Albert and Mrs. Lydia (nee Fritz) Kraft.
Survived by her four sons Donald Byers of Hanover, Larry (Marie) Byers of Cochrane, Stephen Byers of Durham, Vernon Byers of Brockton and daughter Joan Rintoul of Sudbury. She had a special place in her heart for two grand children, whom she helped raise from the ages of 10 and 14 Tracy and Derek. Loved by all her grandchildren Darlene, Karen, Mark, Heather, Lisa, Paddy, Bobby, Tracy and Derek and her great grandchildren Curtis, Chantal, Noah, Isaac, Adrian, Dilan, Emilie, Evan, Trinity, Dominic, Ashton, Maddox, Keanna, Rose, Theo, Jordan, Nicole and Jake. Fondly remembered by her brother Arnold Kraft and sister Doreen Fisher both of Hanover as well as sisters in law Marion Litt, Julia Byers and Beth (Ken) Laine. Predeceased by her beloved husband Anderson, daughters in law Arlene, Kathy, Gertrude, son in law Charles Rintoul and by her brothers Harry, Lorne and Howard Kraft and brother in law Hudson Byers. Also predeceased by her sisters in law Nellie Byers, Esther Kraft and her dear friends Elmer Wettlaufer and Addison Schenk.
Family and friends gathered for Visitation at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
A Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, February 07, 2017 at 11:00 am, at Grace United Church. Rev. Micol Cottrell officiated.
Spring Interment in Hampden Cemetery.
No longer in our lives to share but is in our hearts she will always be there.
