Obituary for Barbara Taylor
Passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 20, 2017 in her 81st year. Barbara was a beloved wife and partner to Douglas, and their love story lasted 52 years. Barb and Doug did almost everything together, and passed away almost a year to the day of each other. Barbara proudly devoted her life to being a mother to Scott and Jason (Kristen) and relished her role as a grandmother to Lucia and Olivia. Barbara and her sister Marilyn Henderson grew up in Mount Pleasant, Ontario, and were lifelong members of their hometown church. She was the family genealogist, cherished her travel adventures with Doug, and loved live music and theatre. The family will receive friends at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Thursday, November 23, 2017 from 6-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 24, 2017 at 11 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. If desired, donations can be made in Barbara’s memory to the Parkinson Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
