Obituary for Antonio «Tony» Faoro
It is with greatest sorrow and heavy hearts that the family of Antonio “Tony” Faoro announce his passing on December 22, 2017. Born May 22, 1931, Tony was the youngest son of Angelo and Antonia (Faoro).
Tony married Katherine Howatt (1954) and they enjoyed a good life together on their family farm in the community of Highway, before retiring to Mayerthorpe in 1987.
Tony is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Kathy; children, Connie (Bill), Diane (Pat), Bonnie (Al), Keith (Karen), Beverly (Barry), Donette (Dennis), and Darren (Roxanne); 23 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Tony is also survived by sister, Emma (Leonard) Aubrey; and many more dear family members. Tony was predeceased by grandsons, Nicholas and Mark; great-grandson, Gage; great-granddaughter, Natasha; parents, Angelo and Antonia; brothers, Querrino (Mary) Degrandis and Gino (Sylva) Faoro.
Funeral Mass Saturday, December 30 at 11:00 a.m. at the Anselmo Community Hall, Anselmo, Alberta. Inurnment will take place at 2:30 p.m. at the Mayerthorpe Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mayerthorpe Hospital Auxiliary Association, Box 582, Mayerthorpe, AB, T0E 1N0, or a charity of one’s choice.
