DeCoste, Anthony Mark «Tony» age 70 Antigonish & Havre Boucher passed away on September l4th in St Martha’s Hospital after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Ethel (DeGruchy) & Raymond X. DeCoste, Havre Boucher.
A quiet gentle man, Tony was happiest outside; fishing, gardening or in his shop crafting a piece of wood into something beautiful and useful or providing loving care to his grandson James. He faced his many struggles in life with steadfast determination and a smile.
Left to mourn are special friend and earth angel, Ann Marie Greencorn; sons Darren & Trevor, Tracadie; daughter Wanda (Eddie) DeWolfe, Edmonton, AB and their mother Isobel Burns, Tracadie. Grandchildren James, Charlie Ray, Cindy, Crystal, Anita, Brooklyn, Jaidyn, great grandchildren David, Devyn, Dexter and Jaxon. Sisters, Dianne (Eldon) Fitzpatrick, Phyllis (Allan) MacAskill, Havre Boucher; Gail (Paul) Lukeman, Lower South River; Pearl (Dave) Richardson, Amherst; Sherry (John) Forrestall, Nine
Mile River; brothers, Clifford (Millie), Kenny, Allister (Anna), Havre Boucher; Raphael (Nancy), Linden (Charlene) Port Hawkesbury; Keith (Susan) Port Felix.; along with Many nieces and nephews.
Tony was predeceased by a sister Melanie in 1989.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 17th from 2-4 and 7 –9 at St. Paul’s Parish Center. Funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday, September 18th at St. Paul’s Church in Havre Boucher.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul’s Funeral Luncheon Committee or the Canadian Cancer Society
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Green’s Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
