1941-2016
It is with great sadness that the family of the late
ALICE THERESA STACEY of Fortune announces her
passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Monday,
September 19th, 2016, at the age of
75. Leaving to mourn with fond and
loving memories are husband, John Joseph Stacey of 55 years; sons,
Albert Stacey (Lorena) of Fortune, Antony Stacey (Tina) of Portugal
Cove and John Stacey Jr. (Lori-lee) of Clarenville; daughters,
Catherine House (Henry) of Portugal Cove and Stella Edwards (Glenn) of
Fortune; sisters, Bessie Snook of Harbour Breton, Elsie Saunders of
Springdale and Audrey Savory (Bill) of Belleoram; brothers, William
Skinner (Sadie) of Red Earth, AB, Albert Skinner (Marie) of Port Au
Bras and Raymond Skinner (Charlene) of Harbour Breton; 13
grandchildren: Stacey, Henry, John, Michael, Travis, Glenn, Gerald,
Tyrone, Toni, Matthew, Regan, Gina & Evan; 11
great-grandchildren: Alicia, Ryan, Logan, Jayden, Deacon, Patrick,
Riley, Owen, Haley, Chelsey & Layla; plus a large circle of
relatives and friends. She was predeceased by
parents, William & Julia Skinner; daughters, Julia Reid
& Bessie Stacey; grandson, Leeland Reid; parents-in-law,
Anthony & Mary Elizabeth Stacey; sisters, Freda Savory
& Stella Stoodley.
The Stacey Family will be
accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Fortune on
Tuesday, September 20th, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.,
Wednesday, September 21st, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
and Thursday, September 22nd, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00
p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial
will take place at All Saints Anglican Church in Fortune on Thursday,
September 22nd, at 3:00
p.m. Interment will follow at the
Roman Catholic Cemetery in
Fortune.
In Alice’s memory donations may be made to
the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation or flowers gratefully
accepted.
