It is with great sadness
that the family of the late Alice Mary Sexton announce her passing on
Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in
Corner Brook at the age of 98 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and
loving memories her sons: Ambrose (Gertie), St. John’s, John
(Ida), Pasadena, Philip (Isabella), Curling, Gerald (Darlene), St.
George’s and Eugene (Cathy), Badgers Quay; daughters:
Margaret Clarke, Grandois, Anne (Clifford) Caines, Port au Choix,
Maureen (Fred) Bromley, Port au Choix and Ivy Sexton (Lorne
Rowbottom), St. John’s; as well as a large number of
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her
husband Leonard J. Sexton, son Anthony M. Sexton, daughter Mary Laura
Clarke, parents Anastasia and James Griffin. Friends may visit St.
Williams Roman Catholic Church in Grandois Thursday evening and Friday
from where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 18
at 11:00 a.m. with Father Ralph officiating. Interment to follow at
the Roman Catholic Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to
Fillatre’s Funeral Home.
