Obituary of William Adamson
William Adamson
Born April 23, 1949, in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Sadly, Bill passed away at Kennebec Manor on July 24th, 2025 after many struggles resulting from a stroke in 2017. Always optimistic, he never complained about his situation. Bill enjoyed photography and was an avid reader until his illness. He was involved with the Rodney Sea Cadets for several years. He enjoyed travel and summer vacations were often spent in PEI. He also enjoyed leathercraft – a hobby passed on by his father. He enjoyed watching Jeopardy or joining in a game of Trivial Pursuit to test his knowledge of trivia.
Bill is survived by his wife, Maureen, two nieces – Jaqueline and her daughter Sydney; and Jennifer and her daughter Eloise – and their father, Jean-Pierre, all of Montreal; several cousins in Canada, Scotland and Australia; and Maureen’s family in Ontario. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Margaret and Bill, and his sister Jane.
If Bill could, he would thank the staff of Kennebec for their care and support for the last five years; as well as the various units of the Saint John Regional Hospital where he also spent much time.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-643-7424). A funeral service will take place at a later date to be advised.
If you wish to make a donation in Bill’s memory, please consider Kennebec Manor, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Saint John SPCA.
May angels watch over him.
