“Tom”
Sunday March 26th, 1944 – Monday February 17th, 2025
Tom left this world peacefully and with great faith to be with our Lord and God forevermore. At home, with family beside him it was a comfort to witness.
Tom was a live and let live kind of man, who lived a quiet and mostly happy life. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, reading a good book, watching a good show on tv, going for drives in the beauty of the countryside, travelling with his wife and best friend of almost 44 years, Karen, vacationing in Aruba many times, and just having visits and sharing time with family. His wants and needs were few. Tom drove tractor trailer for his all of his working years and loved driving the highways. He could park a truck on a dime, even earning his Million Miles Safe Driving award which he was quite pleased to accomplish. In his final years he was also able to find delight in our latest pup, Roxie who he played with and during the time of his illness would cheer him and help him with her loyal attention.
Tom was and Karen remains, grateful to all our family and friends. Father Lee, Father Keith and the Church members for all their love, prayers, support, caring concern and efforts to always being there, especially over the last two years of his struggles with lung cancer and COPD, and to God for answering those prayers and giving us many miracles and blessings along the way. Also, thanks go out to Belleville, Kingston and Trenton hospitals and staff, all Northumberland Community Services and nurses and PSW’s, Meals on Wheels people. You were so kind and helpful. Thank you to all the Doctors who worked on healing Tom, you were exceptional and will never be forgotten.
Tom will be forever missed by his devoted wife Karen. Beloved father of Jason Alberico (Laurie), Jeanette Colucci (Loreto) and Jeannine Rodgers (late Gord). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Brandon, Jacey and David as well as his 2 great-grandchildren. He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Wilma Frivalt (Bill) and Pat Carey (Sonny) as well as his in-laws Beverly Rocca (Mario) and Lorne Wall (Karen). Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives. Tom is predeceased by his parents Thomas and Lillian Ryan (Burleigh), step-mother Josephine Ryan, mother and father-in-law Mary Wall and Malcolm Wall (Maria) as well as his siblings Barb Menezes (late Norm) and Jerry Ryan.
You will always be loved, missed and remembered forever dear Tom and with many wonderful memories, we are comforted knowing you are now and always, resting in peace.
Cremation has been entrusted to Milestone Cremation Services, Napanee and there will be a Celebration of Life Held for Tom later in the spring. Online condolences, photos and memories can be shared at www.milestonecremation.ca.
