Obituary of Terry Wallenius
It is with heavy hearts that we announce Terry’s unexpected passing. Our beloved husband, brother, uncle and friend passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 34 years, Leeann. Terry was the youngest son of the late Maybelle and the late Alec Wallenius and brother of Steven Wallenius (late Harriet). While Terry had many cousins from the Mills family, he had a special friendship with his cousin Vicki Bjorkman (Dan). Terry was uncle to Jennifer Wallenius (Dan), Silvija Raginskis (Luca Miceli), Darcey Robinson (Macdonal), Steven McMillan (Melissa), and Amy Pickford (Richard) and a great uncle to Holly and Aimee Simoncic, Ian Robinson, Luca Miceli and Hunter and Suzanne Pickford. Much loved brother-in-law of David, Barbara and Brenda Canduro and Gary McMillan.
Terry had a love for old cars and trucks and all things mechanical. If you came looking for Terry, you could find him in the garage tinkering on whatever needed fixing. He took great pride in restoring vehicles especially the labour of love in restoring a 1967 Mustang for his “one and only”.
Terry was lucky to have lifelong friends and shared special memories with Tim and Donna Koivisto and David and Louise Wishman. Oh, the stories they could tell.
Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life “Come and Go” at the Grand Gardens Downtown (68 Dennis Street) on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m. A private family inurnment has been held. Memorial donations to the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) would be greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
His love, kindness and laughter will be deeply missed
but his spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
