A Grey Sister of the Immaculate Conception, Pembroke, ON, died in Pembroke on the 22nd day of March in the 68th year of her Religious Life. Left to mourn are the members of her Religious Community, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Predeceased by parents, Moise and Evelyn (Lamourie), brothers, Donald and Kenneth, sisters Eleanor Wilson, Noella Coughlin and Ruth Jones. Sister Jacqueline was born on February 17th, 1936, in Eganville, ON. She entered the community on September 10th, 1957, pronouncing final vows on August 10th, 1962. Her ministry led her to various areas of service, including the care of orphan girls at St. Patrick’s Home, Food Supervision at Assumption Convent and St. Patrick’s Home, Ottawa, The General Hospital, Pembroke, Youville Centre, Vancouver, B.C., and five years at C.H.E.O., The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, Ottawa. In 1987, Sister Jacqueline became a volunteer worker at C.H.E.O. Registered in palliative care, she managed the Ronald McDonald Program, and served in Oncology with sick and dying children. There will be a short time of visitation on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 9:30 to 10:15 at Caritas Residence, 215 Deacon Street, Pembroke, ON, followed by Funeral Liturgy at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Columba’s Cemetery, Pembroke. Arrangements by the Neville Funeral Home, 491 Isabella St., Pembroke.
