Shirley Stone
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at Sakura House, on Saturday, March 8, 2025 in her 82nd year. Born on June 18, 1943, in Ingersoll, Ontario. Shirley was a much-loved wife of Gordon Stone for 63 years. She was the loving mother of Terry (Cindy), Liz Schooley (Robert) and Doug (Deb). A grandmother who was cherished by her 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sister Gerri Racknor (Bill).
Predeceased by her parents Flossie and step-father James Bartindale, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Shirley will fondly be remembered by numerous nieces and nephews, and all the children she baby sat throughout her life.
A special thank you to Gord’s brother and sisters for all their help this past year, a thank you as well to the palliative care unit at Woodstock General Hospital.
Family and friends will be received at the Norwich United Church, 80 Main Street West, Norwich, ON, on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 10:00 – 10:45 A.M. Funeral service will be held at the Norwich United Church, at 11:00 A.M.
Cremation has taken place. Donations in memory of Shirley, may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the VON-Sakura House.
