It is with hearts full of sadness that the family of Sheila Diane Morrison of Bracebridge Ontario announce her passing on Thursday February 6th, 2025 at the age of 84. Sheila passed away peacefully with family leaving behind a wonderful legacy filled with love, perseverance, and joy. Sheila was known for her many years of service tending to the Rotary Centennial Gardens as part of the horticultural society in Bracebridge but also her contributions to the horticultural society in Massachusetts where she lived and raised her children for many years. On top of working in community gardens she also was a strong pillar in the beginnings of the Bracebridge Farmer’s market which she dedicated much of her time and passion towards connecting with people. Sheila not only enjoyed cultivating beautiful gardens but also quiet days with a strong cup of tea and biscuits with her friends and family.
She leaves behind to mourn her beloved husband George Morrison. Cherished mother to Jenn and Gavin. Loved grandmother to Danielle (Ryan), Trevor (Lauren), Marshall (Kerri), and Dezirae. Great Grandmother to Isabella, Nickolas, Autumn, Brynlee, Briar, Paxton, and Xavier. Sheila is predeceased by her parents Horace and Evaline Guest as well as siblings Sharon (Guest) Downard and Terry Guest.
Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life at the Bracebridge Salvation Army Community on March 1st at 2pm where her favourite Tea will be served.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Salvation Army Community Church in Sheila’s memory
