Obituary of Richard Gordon Langille
LANGILLE , Richard Gordon – age 70 of Upper Nine Mile River, passed away on February 23rd, 2025, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, after his battle against cancer. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Robert and Lena Langille.
Richard started his career in construction at the age of 17 with Liuna Labourers International Union of North America and retired after 53 years. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed many types of music. Richard was a jack of all trades with many skills and was a very hard worker. He was a loving father and family man; he would do anything for anyone and had a great sense of humor. Richard will deeply be missed and not forgotten; he left great memories for his family and friends to cherish.
Richard is survived by the love of his life, Sandra French; children, Margaret, Victor, Luke, Richard Jr; siblings, Debbie, Bobby, Harry, Joe, Trevor, Tracey; several grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and extended family.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Joseph; brother, Jimmy; sister, Donna.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
