It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we inform you that Rajnikant Chandulal Sanghvi passed away peacefully on Friday May 2, 2025 at the age of 77 years at the Markham Stouffville Hospital, in the presence of his family.
Dedicated son to the late Chandulal and Jayaben Sanghvi
Loving husband to Bharti Sanghvi
Doting father and father-in-law to Jyoti and Sanjay
Adoring grandfather to little Jayce
Devoted brother to Ila (John), Ashwin (late Nila), Harshad (Bharti), Nilesh (Sadhna), Neeta (Kamal)
Caring uncle to Jason, Shimal (Jackie), Anjali (Deep), Sapna (Ben), Mala (Jonas), Jay
Valued great-uncle to Saavan and Ayesha, Shaan and Nora, Leo and Rocco, Laila and Asha
He was born in Kisumu, Kenya. He did his B.Sc. at Bhavans College University of Bombay and he did his postgraduate in Education at the University of Nairobi in Kenya.
He made Canada his home over 36 years ago.
Mwalimu, as he was fondly known by many, was an unassuming man, well read, enjoyed his travel, a consummate organizer, but above all, a family man and a gentle soul who fought many battles to make a wonderful life for his family.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him—his family, his friends, and all whose lives he touched.
