Paul Robert Kueneman of Walkerton passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at South Bruce Grey Health Centre in Walkerton, at the age of 75. He was the beloved husband of Heather and loving father to Krista Wyman (Wake Forest, N.C.), Summer Kueneman (Aaron Fleischauer) of Walkerton, and Matt Kueneman (Katie) of Walkerton. Paul was a cherished grandfather to Hudson, Ethan, Ben, Ryan, Jack, William,Mason, Halle, Austin, and Taylor.
He will be dearly missed by his siblings: Rita Durrer, Ken (Doreen) Kueneman, and Bill (Lynda)
Kueneman, all of Mildmay; Mary Lou (Jim) Dasiuk of Saskatoon; his sister-in-law Betty Kueneman of Waterloo; and brother-in-law to Wendy (Bob) Scott of Ripley, Andrew (Dianna) Cleland of London, Charles (Trudy) Cleland of Point Clark, Kathleen (John) Moyer of Kitchener, and David MacDonald of Kincardine. Paul was also fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Paul grew up on the Kueneman farm in Carrick Township, where he learned the values of hard work, loyalty to family and caring for your community. He often said that success wasn’t the result of luck, but rather the result of effort. He enjoyed a fulfilling career as a realtor with Wilfred McIntee Real Estate Company for 45 years and continued to work in some capacity until his passing.
In his youth, Paul was a talented athlete, excelling in track and field and wrestling at W.D.S.S. He also played hockey with the Senator Hockey Team until the age of 72, holding the title of longest-serving player and creating lifelong friendships along the way.
Paul was especially thankful for the support of his family and friends during his journey with cancer. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, whether at the cottage, on the porch or at the rink. He was known for his kind heart, generosity, integrity, quiet sense of humour, and wisdom. He believed forgiveness was the greatest virtue.
The family is profoundly grateful for the exceptional care Paul received at Hospitals in Walkerton, London and Owen Sound. From doctors and nurses to lab and support staff, as well as the emergency and community care team, each person provided Paul with unwavering kindness, compassion, and understanding. We are truly thankful for their dedication. A special thank you to Dr. Gill, Dr. Horsfal, Dr. Aboo, and Dr. Sanni for guiding us through this challenging medical journey. It truly took a village, and we feel incredibly blessed and thankful to each of them.
